The group members can be of any age up to 12<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> grade<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each group will be allocated a <\/span><b>maximum of seven minutes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to recite from memory, verses from one of the <\/span><b>36 themes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> below from the Bhagavad Gita. The recitation should begin with one participant from the group giving a brief description on the message contained in the verses of the theme followed by the recitation of the verses.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participation as a group is encouraged to have synchronous chanting for the selected verses.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Following each group\u2019s recital, <\/span><b>Sri Lal Gopal Das (ISKCON)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will give a brief commentary in about three minutes on the verses that were recited.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Groups wishing to participate <\/span><b>should register at the following link<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by November 1, 2020.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Number of participants, names, grades and contact information<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The selected theme.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Text of verses is included. Ritualistic worship and community activities at Hindu temples and centers have played a major\u00a0 role in this regard. In addition, the practice of meditative and philosophical aspects of Hinduism has\u00a0 also flourished by the practice of Vedanta, brought to the west by Swami Vivekananda and many who\u00a0 followed him.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Details \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">High\/middle school students are invited to submit titles of talks individually or in t<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">eams of no more <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">than three students<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each talk will be for no more than <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ten minutes<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The talks can be on any aspect of Hinduism within the following framework given as examples.\u00a0 These are just suggestions and are not exclusive\/exhaustive.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What is Hinduism and does it have an origin?
